What God Says When You Feel Like Giving Up

What God Says When You Feel Like Giving Up

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

— Proverbs 3:5–6 NIV

Let me share with you what helps me for the times I feel like giving up…

Many people look to and/or explore ways to emotionally heal after a broken season in life. However, for me, I have and will always go to Spirituality as a way to acknowledge, face it, sit in it, and move forward — to properly heal and care about living and thriving in life in today’s times.

I have also discovered that in each place of my brokenness, sore spots, wounds, and/or scars, Jesus has worked and continues to work through me to have an even greater impact in the lives of souls He brings my way. It never ceases to amaze me how much more Jesus can get out of us in our brokenness.

Today I can say I am emotionally healthy and whole — comfortable and loveable in my own skin. I’m okay with having quiet and quality time with my Lord and Savior and the Holy Spirit of my very being and existence. I am free and comfortable in my own skin.

Hallelujah!

“I have contentment in this moment, this place, and this season — not because of anything I’ve done, but because of my Uncreated Savior, Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit.”

Life has been interesting, painful, exciting, liberating, humbling, impactful, exhilarating — a pot of soup of ingredients made just for me. With that being said, I’m finally in the place and space of contentment. Even though I am living in an ungodly, out-of-order, perishing earthly realm — with lost relationships, emotional scars to keep me humble — I continue to stay motivated to keep working on spiritual, mental, and physical growth and maturity.

I know it is ONLY because of my relationship with God and His Holy Spirit that I have contentment. As I renewed my mind in God’s Word and consciously and willfully chose to spend time with God, He has me right where I need to be and doing what I need to be doing. I take it one day — or better yet, one second — at a time… choosing and saying Yes to God’s will and divine alignment, and not mine.

I keep my attention and focus on my Savior and Holy Spirit. Wholeheartedly, I spiritually listen to God’s daily instructions and reports concerning Kelly each day — and sometimes in the middle of my day. I only look to God for my Identity and Purpose, with no desire to covet or want what someone else has, while passing through this earthly realm.

I can testify — the more we spend time and commune with Jesus and His Holy Spirit, the more we tap into who we are in the Spirit and not this temporary, fleshly, and perishing body. (But still take care of the body, so you can live and complete things for God 😊)

I am a witness: a relationship with them allows one to have a contentment like no other. The more I relax, rest, trust, and obey them and follow their lead — the better the contentment is, with hiccups, flaws and all.

A Promise to Hold On To:

I know my Savior, Jesus Christ, will be with me forever — and He will NEVERRRR leave me. 🙏
